Miley Cyrus is ready for some alone time!
As fans know, it’s been a whirlwind summer for the Slide Away singer, who went from being married to Liam Hemsworth, to dating Kaitlynn Carter, to ultimately becoming single in the span of about two months.
And if her latest Instagram pics weren’t enough of an indication, a source told E! News the musician is very much looking forward to living solo for the first time in a decade.

The insider explained the 26-year-old is “hitting the reset button” following her splits, adding of her more recent romance with The Hills: New Beginnings star:
“Miley did not want to rush into anything. She and Kaitlynn have been close friends for a long time and things got romantic. Miley was ready to call it off because she wasn’t ready for a relationship.”
Makes sense!
A second source shared the same sentiment, telling the outlet Miley “needs to be by herself” at this time, while a third insider dished:
“Miley feels like she got in over her head by moving on so quickly with Kaitlynn Carter after her split from Liam.”
As of now, it’s unclear whether or not Kait and Miley, who were close friends before their relationship turned romantic, are still on good terms.
Although a fourth confidant insisted the pair “remain close friends,” the second E! News source claimed there’s “not a lot of contact between Miley and Kaitlynn,” noting:
“Kaitlynn is still surprised and upset about how abruptly things ended.”
We bet Liam knows how she feels!
As we reported, Miley flew to Las Vegas for her performance at the iHeartRadio Festival after breaking things off with Brody Jenner’s ex. From there, she went to Zion National Park in Utah with her mom Trish and sister Brandi for a much needed getaway.
According to the second source, the singer will continue to lean on her fam as she focuses on the next chapter of her personal life. The insider said:
“They got to relax and enjoy some down time out in nature with nobody around… Miley is hanging out with her family and staying close to them right now. She’s trying to disconnect from everything that’s been going on. She’s ready to focus on herself and not have to worry about anyone else.”
Meanwhile, Kaitlynn is said to have moved out of Miley’s home and back into her own El Lay pad where she hopes to figure out “what comes next,” according to the source.
That source went on to say Cyrus is returning to the studio to “focus on music and updating music to how she is feeling,” since the artist’s songs are where “she expresses things about her life.”
As for her relationship with Liam, who is seeking refuge in his hometown on the coast of Australia, it’s said the former Disney darling “still cares” about her hubby of less than a year — but she’s “not looking to be in touch” with him.
