It’s all over for Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter.
According to reports out fresh on Saturday night, the “romantic relationship is over” between the pair. And though the two still remain friends, it appears that the mutual rebound relationship they found themselves in together is now over.

A source spoke to People about the news this evening, saying (below):
“Miley and Kaitlyn broke up. They’re still friends. They’ve been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated, but they’re just not in a romantic relationship anymore.”
Well then.
If memory serves (and it always does!), the last time these two were spotted out and about together was last Saturday in the El Lay area, when they enjoyed lunch together. The Slide Away singer had previously brought her mom out to another very public lunch she’d had with the Hills reality TV star, as well.
Of course, the 26-year-old pop star has been coming off the end of a long relationship and sudden breakup from estranged husband Liam Hemsworth, officially splitting from each other early last month. Similarly, the 31-year-old reality TV maven herself was involved in a long coupling with fellow Hills star Brody Jenner, though they also split last month.
From there, Miley and Kaitlynn had chosen to seek comfort and quality time in each other as they rebounded from their respective breakups. The two made headlines for weeks as they proved to be inseparable during several stops around the globe — as well as those lunches around Los Angeles.
For the boys’ parts, Hemsworth has opted to lay low back in his native Australia, and hasn’t shown himself to be much interested in the media attention following his very public split from the pop star. Jenner, on the other hand, has publicly jumped into a new thing with model Josie Canseco, and those two seem as happy as can be. Ahhhh, to be young!
Now, though, it would appear things are over between Miley and Kaitlynn, at least as far as their romantic relationship is concerned. But after all, as a wise sage once said, ’tis better to burn out than to fade away… or something.
