Miley Cyrus Scores Huge Ratings For SNL! But Not As Big As Justin Timberlake's!

One thing’s for sure: if you want big ratings on Saturday Night Live, a pop star performer AND host always works!

But as big as Miley Cyrus has been lately, the SNL Crown still sits firmly on Justin Timberlake‘s head!

Mileybird’s return to the late night show gave them their highest numbers since JT acted as both host and musical guest back in March.

Cyrus pulled in an audience of 6.7 million and won them a 2.7 rating in the demo.

Timberlake scored nearly 8.5 million viewers and got SNL a 3.4 rating the night he hosted and performed!

But before you declare Justin the hands down winner, there’s an asterisk attached to these stats.

You see, Miley didn’t get to scream “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night!” until after MIDNIGHT on the East Coast! The college football game between Arizona State and Notre Dame forced SNL to go on 27 minutes later than scheduled!

And 27 minutes can make a HUGE difference in whether or not people tune in or not!

You may not have beaten JT, Miley but you proved yourself to be not only funny, but profitable!
