Miley Cyrus may be ready to finally move on from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, but she can’t completely erase him from her past. Even if she secretly wanted to!
It would be nearly impossible to recall the 27-year-old’s last decade without mentioning her longtime former flame. We have to assume it’s the reason why she included the Aussie in a nostalgic new Instagram post and YouTube video which chronicled the star’s best and worst moments of 2010-2019.

Just before ringing in 2020, the Adore You singer dropped a 10-minute long clip titled, “Miley Cyrus Decade Video: 10 Years In 10 Minutes.”
The vid really covered it all, including the unforgettable moment when Cyrus twerked on Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMAs to when she completely transformed her appearance in the Bangerz era, and more. But most notably, Miley’s ex was featured more than once throughout!

At just a few seconds in, a short excerpt from The Last Song is played, instantly reminding us of how the former couple met in the first place. As you’ll likely remember, those two fell in love and began dating IRL after they starred in the big-screen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks‘ romantic teen drama together in 2009.
A bit later on, a reporter’s voiceover announced the happy news of their engagement back in 2018. And then to bring things completely full circle, the Wrecking Ball singer also included a report of their split. As we covered, the pair reached a divorce settlement on their anniversary just before Christmas.
It’s certainly hard not to feel a little choked up after watching it all!
Other memorable moments preserved in the video include Cyrus’ final season of Hannah Montana, multiple studio album releases, that time TMZ shared footage of her smoking a bong at 17, and even a flashback to her first time hosting Saturday Night Live.
Towards the end, viewers were treated to a glimpse of the Miley that’s yet to come in the new decade. “2020. New Era Starts Now” flashed across the screen as the performer is seen wearing a t-shirt with “I Am Here” written across it, which seems to possibly hint at more new music on the way sometime soon.
But, wait. Something’s missing!
Anyone else notice there was zero mention of Cody Simpson? Like, at all?
We know the lovebirds are still a relatively new couple, but considering their blazing hot start, we expected at least a small nod to him in some way. Apparently not!
Towards the end of 2019, we were beginning to wonder if their romance had begun to cool off, especially after the 22-year-old Aussie singer was spotted hanging out with a Playboy model and noticeably absent from his girlfriend’s feed.
The last time update about ’em came from Cody’s sister Alli Simpson, who assured Daily Mail Australia:
“Yes, [they’re] together for sure.”
And the fact that they spent Christmas all over each other on social meeds, LOLz! We hope he doesn’t feel salty about being left out on the vid, though!
