Cody Simpson's Sister Says He & Miley Cyrus Are 'Together For Sure' Despite Public Suspicion

Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus are not currently broken up or even headed for splitsville — at least according to Cody’s sister, Alli, who responded to fan outrage this weekend, days after her bro was spotted hanging out with a Playboy Playmate!

As you’ll recall from our report on Sunday, the Australian pop hunk was snapped by photogs walking with Jordy Murray, December 2019’s Playmate of the Month, leading to all kinds of speculation he and Miley were done! And on the very same day, the former Hannah Montana star posted a cryptic thread of tweets about being lonely for the holidays, which really ramped up the controversy!

But it’s all much ado about nothing, Alli claims! She spoke to Daily Mail Australia and confirmed love is still all around for Cody and Miley (below):

“Yes, [they’re] together for sure. [Murray] is his best friend, [actor] Ryan McCarthy‘s girlfriend of a few years. He’s visiting him for a couple days.”

For sure. For sure! OK, then — just a girlfriend of a friend, got it!

The last we heard from these two, they were thinking about putting a band together, which would be cool and all. But the public proclamations of love that were so commonplace early in their relationship have all but disappeared from social media. Naturally, that led everyone to wonder whether there was trouble in paradise for the musically inclined duo… but apparently not!

Regardless, it’s been a whirlwind of a time for these lovely lovers since they got together in October. Plenty of early PDA had them practically force-feeding the world their love — getting so crazy that, at one point, Miley’s ex Liam Hemsworth reportedly got a huge kick out of their attention-seeking public displays.

It’s been a particularly crazy time for Miley. The Australian pop star is kind of her rebound on top of a rebound, after coming off a late summer fling with Kaitlynn Carter. And of course, that’s not to mention the end of her ten-year-long relationship with Hemsworth, which was officially over back in mid-August.

Simpson and Cyrus have long had some kind of connection, though (and we know Cody has been crushing on the 27-year-old pop princess for a few years now), so it’s not like their match up is totally out of the blue. And in concert with that, it makes sense they’d be tough enough to fight through all the tabloid gossip and keep doing their thing together… even if it’s not plastered all over social media any more.
