If you haven’t seen the series, the former Gossip Girl star plays Joe who stalks and basically kills anyone who gets in the way of his relationship with a girl named Beck. Charming, right??
In a since-deleted Instagram Story posted Tuesday, the Stranger Things actor shared:

“So, I just started that new show You. He’s not creepy, he’s in love with her and it’s okay, so … I’m obsessed with it, I’m binge watching it. Absolute banger.”

The 14-year-old continued, but mentioned judgement since she knew there would be backlash:

“By the way, I know everybody is gonna say, ‘Aw, he’s a stalker … why would you support that?’ No, like … he’s in love with her. And it’s just, like … just watch the show and don’t judge me on my opinion.”

Yeah, best to not support this crazy murder filled unhealthy AF relationship. Or romanticize it for that matter.
Fans reacted the same way with most sharing things like, “That millie bobby brown video is rly alarming,” and “I can’t believe Millie bobby brown stans the dude from ‘you’ and literally said he’s not a stalker he’s just in love. Honey he literally kills people in the show.”
Penn has also expressed his distaste with fans fawning over the clearly disturbed Joe. He even took to IG this week to poke fun:

The lesson here should be to watch yourself when dating, NOT that problematic behavior is ok. Capisce?
