The cops don’t really have a suspect.. so we’re not sure if it’s actually all that appropriate to ask someone whether or not they did it, especially when the victim was the father of their son — and somebody they claim was their soulmate!
Just seems awful to us, when what we’ve heard is that Mindy McCready reportedly lied down next to her boyfriend, David Wilson, and pleaded with him not to die of what is an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Here’s what Mindy said about the horrible situation:
“I have never gone through anything this painful. He didn’t just touch my heart, he touched my soul. He was my soulmate. I just started screaming, calling 911. I laid down next to him and just pleaded with him not to die.”
Then, she was asked in the interview if she was the one who did it:
“Oh, my God, no. He was my life. We were each others’ life.”
What was she going to say? Even if she DID do it (which we feel like she didn’t), we bet she doesn’t admit it during an interview — especially if it’s not with Oprah!
One of the reasons why people might think she had something to do with it, is that the bullet wasn’t found until the next day. Apparently the dog got a hold of it!! Yuck!
Oh, and few more things — The shooting investigation remains open, there are no known suspects, including Mindy… and tests determining whether the incident was suicide or murder won’t be revealed for a few more weeks.
We feel for both her and her son.
