Mindy McCready was found dead of apparent suicide yesterday, and while this news shocked many, her ex knew the possibility of this was all too real.
Billy McKnight, who has a six-year-old son with the late singer, has opened up about the tragic news.
Her ex spoke with the Today show about the country star and her many issues that included substance abuse and recently losing her fiancé under unknown circumstances as he said:
├óΓé¼┼ôAs sad as it is, it didn’t come as a major shock. She’s just been battling demons for so long ├óΓé¼┬ª I was around her when she attempted suicide twice, so I knew it was in her.├óΓé¼┬¥
Now, Billy is focusing on getting his son, Zander, back in order to help him through this difficult time. The child was placed in foster care after Mindy’s fianc├â┬⌐ passed away and she was institutionalized. Billy said:
“He needs to come home.”
We hope Mindy’s family and friends can heal during this difficult time.
