The controversy around Miranda Lambert‘s recent reaction to fans taking selfies in the front row of her show has not totally died down just yet!
Over the weekend, the country crooner did her thing on stage once again at her Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas. And a smart fan who’s been paying attention to the news cycle showed up in the front row with a VERY telling t-shirt!

As Perezcious readers will no doubt recall, Lambert popped up in the news last week after a video of her scolding some female fans for taking a selfie during a show went mega-viral. Then, in the days after that unfortunate incident, the women involved spoke out about the sour taste the whole thing left in their mouths.
But the only thing Miranda is tasting right now is tequila!!
That’s because over the weekend, at the latest installment of the Velvet Rodeo residency, the songstress took a tequila shot offered by another fan who wanted to send a very pointed message!
According to social media vids that are once again making the rounds, in the middle of this past Saturday night’s show, Miranda stopped singing and pointed out into the crowd at a woman’s shirt. The rest of the audience couldn’t see the shirt down in the mass of people, of course, so Miranda explained what she saw for the entire arena:
“Her shirt says, ‘Shoot tequila, not selfies.'”
OMG!
As the crowd went crazy in reaction, Lambert laughed and pointed again at the woman in the crowd. Then, the House That Built Me singer added her own commentary on top to get out ahead of any backlash that may come from the t-shirt message:
“She did it, I didn’t!”
LOLz!!
Then, to take things one step even further, she quietly mouthed “that’s badass” to the woman in the shirt, walked down the steps into the audience, and grabbed a mini tequila bottle from her to take a shot!! The star raised up the bottle, toasted the crowd, and threw her head back for a drink of the good stuff — and it went down smooth!
From there, the 39-year-old crooner turned to her guitarist Ethan Ballinger and offered him the rest of the mini bottle. He had stood beside her watching the entire interaction, so he quickly took the bottle and downed the rest!

Of course, fans and observers have been divided over Miranda’s prior concert takedown for more than a week now. So something tells us this new tequila t-shirt talk will only up the ante on whether the singer was in the right or in the wrong in calling out the women taking selfies from before!
