Is reality television going too far?
According to reports, two new reality TV shows will soon be released and both deal with the terminally ill.
One is Jeff Probst’s Live For The Moment, previously titled Live Like You’re Dying, which will feature terminally ill patients trying to do just that.
According to Probst:
“If you├óΓé¼Γäóre looking for something new that offers great adventure as well as an uplifting message about how to get the most out of life, I hope you├óΓé¼Γäóll check it out and encourage your friends to watch. I├óΓé¼Γäóm really proud of it and I hope it connects with an audience. The only way a show like this gets a chance for a second episode is if people watch the first one!”
The show, currently a pilot, will air on CBS later this month and hopefully get picked up.
However, the second show is being created by UK Fulcrum TV and will feature a terminally ill patient who will donate their body to science for mummification. Mummification!
Individuals are also posting their photos online and voters can help choose who should get selected.
Says one rep for Fulcrum TV:
├óΓé¼┼ôWe are currently keen to talk to someone who, faced with the knowledge of their own terminal illness and all that it entails, would nonetheless consider undergoing the process of ancient Egyptian embalming.”
What?!?
Check out the clip above. What do U think?
