The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Taylor Frankie Paul is telling all about the soft swinging scandal!
As Perezcious readers know, the social media personality exposed in May 2022 that she and other Mormon mommas in the #MomTok community on TikTok were “soft swinging.” The group hooked up with each other’s spouses — but stopped short of having penetrative sex. So, everything else was allowed except for actually doing the deed!
However, Taylor crossed the line one night at their swinging parties and cheated on her husband with one of the other husbands! Yep, she slept with another guy! And the whole arrangement came to a screeching halt from there! Friendships ended. Marriages were ruined — including Taylor’s! Her then-husband, Tate Paul, divorced her for cheating! Oof. Two years later, the content creator is ready to talk about how it all started and what went down at the swinging parties! Even the naughty details!

During an interview on The Viall Files Wednesday, Taylor explained she and Tate began experimenting with another couple one day. Nothing super crazy. Just two girls making out in front of their husbands at first. She said:
“It wasn’t even a conversation. I think we were all drinking and partying and the guys were like, ‘You girls should make out. Like make out. It’s hot.’ We’re like ‘Ok, that’s hot,’ and so we make out, and that’s that.”
But with each party, things escalated. What started as them making out turned to taking lingerie pictures together while kissing and then some very not-so-innocent activities with each other. Taylor recalled:
“We do this for a while with this couple, cabin parties, making out in the same bed, intercourse in the same bed next to each other, the girls kissing and the husbands touching the other’s wife.”
Damn! They were having full-on orgies at this point!
The two couples eventually spiced it up a year later and added a third couple into the fold. According to Taylor, the new couple was “more down” to do things that the first pair she and Tate were with. How “down” were they? The TikToker claimed the duo asked to have a “foursome” with her and her husband the second time they were hanging out! Wow! So, they were fully game! When all four of them were at a cabin together later, Taylor and Tate almost broke the rules and had sex with them! She said:
“I’m with this man completely naked and we’re about to go full force and he’s with the wife and [her then-husband] super drunk and he comes to this realization, ‘We can’t do this, what if one of you gets pregnant, we don’t know who’s the dad.’”
Uh, y’all couldn’t use birth control? Is that a Mormon rule?? Hmm..
It sounds like Tate wasn’t down for hard-swinging — not like Taylor! And from there, everything started to fall apart! Taylor said people started “creating feelings” and “getting jealous and weird” about the arrangement. Her marriage with Tate even started to crumble as they were on different pages about swinging. For his part, he wanted them to stop hooking up with friends and try it with strangers instead. However, she wasn’t down for it. Why? Taylor fell for one of the guys in the group:
“I ended up catching feelings for one of the men in the group and one of the men caught feelings for me.
The mom admitted she had an “emotional affair” with the other husband that progressed to them sleeping with each other once. Yikes! The day after cheating on Tate, she “came clean to him. And when the friend group started talking about the affair, rumors of the affair started to appear on Reddit, with people calling her a “cheater.” Clearly implying someone FROM the group was outing her, she then decided to hop on TikTok Live to expose the whole swinging arrangement and save her reputation:
“I don’t know who did it, but it ended up hitting the internet. All my TikToks were like, ‘Cheater, husband stealer.’ And the girls were liking it, confirming it, my friends. So I was like okay, well if you’re gonna do that, I’m just gonna go tell my story. So I got online, not thinking at all, but like, ‘Hey yes, I did do this, but also, she was hooking up with my husband just the other night too.’ It just didn’t feel like it was fair to come out and say husband stealer, when you’re also hooking up with my husband … There was a lot more to the story than just I am some sort of home wrecker.”
While things were all fun and games at first, this pineapple club clearly spiraled out of control! And what they got was a whole lot of trouble in the end! Wild stuff. Watch the podcast episode (below):
