Is The MPAA Planning A $3 Million Ad Campaign IN SUPPORT Of SOPA?!?!?

Not cool, Hollywood!
Last we heard about the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), Jon Stewart was SLAMMING its sponsors for being totally uninformed!
Unfortunately, it appears that the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) isn’t on Team Stewart, because we’re hearing that they MAY be planning a $3 million pro-SOPA ad campaign! Boo!
We’ve also heard that MPAA head Chris Dodd wants to set up a summit meeting between Internet and content companies to find “a compromise” on SOPA.
Sounds like is going to continue getting uglier. The Internet will NOT respond well to a tremendous ad campaign by the MPAA, and we’d be pret-ty skeptical about any kind of SOPA compromise…but who knows? Maybe that could work. MAYBE.
