Pima County Sheriff REJECTED All Outside Help In Finding Nancy Guthrie -- Turning Down Multiple Search Effort Offers!

Just when you think this heartbreaking mystery couldn’t get any more frustrating, another twist has people scratching their heads.

The search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie, has already been filled with unanswered questions. But now comes a revelation that is sure to get people talking.

According to the vice president of the United Cajun Navy, the experienced Louisiana-based volunteer search-and-rescue organization says it repeatedly offered to help find Nancy… only to be turned away by Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos in Nancy’s time of need. WTF?!?!

Brian Trascher, vice president of the United Cajun Navy, appeared Monday on NewsNation‘s Katie Pavlich Tonight and shared what he says happened behind the scenes after Nancy disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home on February 1. According to Trascher, his organization actually put together a detailed search proposal for Sheriff Nanos explaining exactly how they could assist in the effort.

And we’re not talking about showing up with good intentions alone! Trascher said the organization was prepared to deploy trained K-9 teams, drone operators, and other specialized search resources that have been used in countless missing-person cases over the years.

Based on what they had reviewed, he explained there was one particular area they believed deserved significant attention. As Trascher put it:

“We really felt strongly that there was a good chance that she could have ended up somewhere along the border.”

From his perspective, the mission was straightforward: put experienced volunteers in the field, search areas that might otherwise be difficult to cover, and hopefully help bring some much-needed answers to Savannah and the rest of Nancy’s loved ones.

But according to Trascher, that never happened.

Speaking with host Katie Pavlich, Trascher said the Pima County Sheriff’s Office made what he described as a blanket decision not to accept any outside assistance. That’s a pretty eye-catching claim, especially since the investigation has already been the subject of public discussion and scrutiny.

Trascher also made it clear that the United Cajun Navy wasn’t the only group willing to pitch in, adding:

“We have a lot of good resources we could have brought to the area. Other partner groups that we work with in the area are willing to come to the area and help us search.”

If that’s not enough to make you wonder what could have been, his next comment certainly got people’s attention, too:

“But for some reason, they just decided they were not going to take the outside help. So, we just kind of went back to what we’re doing.”

WTF…

As if all of that weren’t enough, the mystery surrounding Nancy’s disappearance has only become stranger in recent weeks. Meanwhile, authorities did recently search an area near the Arizona-Mexico border but did not announce anything substantive.r.

For now, the search continues, and the questions keep piling up. Reactions, y’all? Share ’em (below)…
