Oh, no! Police are on the lookout for an alleged kidnapper for an incident that happened in Nancy Guthrie‘s neighborhood!
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department shared a wanted poster for a 40-year-old woman named Coral Michelle Smith on Thursday, alleging that she’s connected to a kidnapping and aggravated assault case that happened on May 29, just about 7 miles away from Nancy’s home in the Catalina Foothills. Wow.

Court records viewed by TMZ show that the woman has a lengthy criminal history — including more kidnapping! She was found guilty and sentenced to prison in 2020 for an incident that involved kidnapping and drug charges, which were dropped.
In 2011, she was also found guilty of robbery. And other charges she’s been found guilty of over the years include criminal trespass, attempted vehicle theft, and disorderly conduct. See more information (below):
But now the question on everyone’s mind: does this woman have anything to do with Nancy??
Sadly for those wanting answers, no, not at this time. Police have not indicated any connections. It appears like this is totally separate. Frankly, the PCSD seem nowhere near close to an answer about Nancy — so much so, Savannah Guthrie went back on the Today Show this week to plead for someone to call with information. We wish we had better news on that front.
How scary, though, for people still in that neighborhood. So unnerving to have another kidnapping case in the area!!!
