FBI Closer To Honing In On Nancy Guthrie Suspect Thanks To THESE Clues!

FBI Closer To Honing In On Nancy Guthrie Suspect Thanks To THESE Clues!

That doorbell camera footage was such a game-changer in this case.

As we covered, on Tuesday, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department released images and video of an “armed” and masked person approaching Nancy Guthrie‘s home on the night she vanished from her home.

The person was completely covered up but seemed unprepared for how to deal with the camera. They attempted to cover it up with some shrubs ripped from the ground. See (below):

Obviously, the release of this footage has reportedly helped in getting a ton more leads in from the public. But it’s also a treasure trove of clues for law enforcement.

Law enforcement sources close to the investigation told TMZ on Wednesday that authorities are now looking into a few key things in the footage. They’ve singled out three of the person’s items — the gloves, backpack, and gun — and are trying to figure out who purchased them. This includes getting in touch with manufacturers and retailers to see if they can help determine the identity of the consumer.

According to TMZ, the holster in the video appears to be made of polyester, typically used for a revolver, though this person has what appears to be a semi-automatic handgun. The backpack could potentially be sold by Walmart, as the outlet’s Ozark Trail Hiker backpack features similar straps with reflective pieces on it, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Obviously, it’s not an easy task to track down these things, but it’s not out of the question. Even if the person used cash to pay for the items, many large stores should be able to pinpoint the date and time of a sale and use surveillance video to see who was at checkout.

With the best and brightest minds on the case, hopefully, they can use these clues to get a substantial lead.

A tip line has been set up: see HERE. The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
