Naomi Campbell's Already Seeing The Results Of Her Diversity Coalition Campaign!

Naomi Campbell has noticed that designers have already begun to incorporate a greater variety of models into their S/S 2014 runway shows, thanks to her Diversity Coalition!

When Naomi Campbell and Iman talk, people listen!!

The two mega-models only recently launched their Diversity Coalition campaign to open a discussion about the lack of diversity on runways, and they’re already seeing results!

The Face mentor boasted about improvements she’s seen on S/S 2014 catwalks while being interviewed in London on Thursday, saying:

“I’ve seen a huge change this season already. Giorgio Armani used four models of color in his show, and a model of color opened his show, which is something that I haven’t seen in a very long time. Jil Sander did; I’m naming names because this is a big improvement. We don’t want this to be a trend; that designers begin using models of color just because we are raising our voices. We hope they will keep doing it and we’re going to keep raising our voices until they do. It’s a long-term plan.”

We├óΓé¼Γäóre sensing the runway racism battle won├óΓé¼Γäót be a hard one to win, especially if there’s been a significant boost in diversity already.

It’s a simple problem to fix!
