Why didn’t anyone step up to help this poor girl?? The whole crowd had to do something near the end, after an agonizing few minutes!!
A lot of people give singers flak when they mess up the national anthem, knowing that everyone’s been singing it for years (and still, this woman might be Canadian, we’re not positive!) — but guess what?? Just because you’ve known it since you were a kid doesn’t mean that you’ve been singing it in front of thousands of people staring at you since you were a kid!!
We TOTALLY feel for this girl during the Memorial Cup Halifax vs Portland match, where she flubbed the anthem to the point of making everyone cringe (and some awful people laughed!) — but we can’t blame her at all!
Keep your head up and learn from your mistakes! Next time might be better, and we hope you DO get a next time!
