And it’s officially one of our favorite fake holidays!
Why wouldn’t we love a holiday that celebrates lipstick and gives us an opportunity to compile a list of our favorite lipstick-wearing beauties?
Though there are as many lipstick hues as there are color swatches in one of those giant paint books they give you when you go to the paint shop because you’re thinking of repainting the den, we want to focus on the most classic shade — red!

Rihanna doesn’t wear red lipstick as often as some of the other women on our list, but when she does, her entire face lights up! And her eyes look greener too! Gorgeous!
Taylor Swift‘s been rocking a bold cherry pout almost every time we’ve seen her lately, even when leaving the gym! Proof that you don’t need a special occasion to wear red lipstick! Just wear it whenever you feel like it!
Rita Ora established red lipstick as her signature as soon as she hit the scene. We’ve rarely seen her without a crimson kisser! We’d probably freak out a little if she stopped wearing it!
Wearing red lipstick is pretty much a given when you’re Dita Von Teese. It pulls her entire retro look together and makes her look like an old Hollywood screen siren! We can’t even imagine her wearing any other shade!
Like Dita, Gwen Stefani also rarely leaves home without bright red lips. It’s been her signature for YEARS! Whether she’s on the red carpet or taking her kids to the park, her lipstick is flawlessly applied and NEVER wears off!
