The thing about stars is that they all eventually either burn up, shoot across the sky, or turn into large black holes.
We’re not sure which one of these fates exactly befell Fashion Star, but definitely one of them.
After a drop in ratings between season one and season, NBC will NOT be renewing the fashion competition show for a third season.
President Bob Greenblatt confirmed the news this weekend at the TCA press tour after he was asked if Fashion Star would be back on the network’s schedule. His answer? A “swift and firm” no.
Ouch.
Although we can’t say we’re too surprised, especially after they dumped their host Elle Macpherson after one season AND moved the show to a Friday night time slot.
Thankfully mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos all still have their own fashion things going on, amongst other things.
