She finally wised up (or the studio finally paid up)!
It was announced this morning that Neve Campbell, star of the original Scream horror flicks, will most likely be back for the latest installment, Scream 4. Courteney Cox and David Arquette have already confirmed their involvement, but Neve had remained on the fence for all this time.
Exactly how big a role each of them will play in this new film is yet to be determined. It stands to reason that Neve’s character, Sydney, could either be the central focus, or just another casualty of the flick. (Think Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween: Resurrection.)
Now, the only key player left for the franchise to nab is acclaimed director Wes Craven. That may end up being the hardest challenge to date, as he has admitted he isn’t “closed” to the idea but isn’tnecessarily”open” to it either.
