It may not be living up to the critics’ tastes, but New Moon KILLED it when it comes to the midnight release numbers!

Predictions are rolling in that it beat both The Dark Knight‘s and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince‘s numbers, raking in between $23 and $24 million for the 12:01 AM screenings!

If New Moon keeps it up all day it could break the biggest Friday opening record too!
