We’re still in complete shock over what happened on Christmas Eve in Rochester, NY when 62-year-old William Spangler ambushed and killed two firefighters.
While William shot and killed himself, 24-year-old Dawn Nguyen is still very much alive and has been arrested in connection to the Christmas tragedy after she falsified business records believed to be linked to the purchase of the AR-15 rifle and 12-gauge shotgun William used during the attack.
Police investigator James Newell said:
“[She was] turned over to ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) agents to be processed at the federal level, and arraigned by a federal magistrate this afternoon”
Investigators are still unsure of Dawn’s motive in the ambush.
Dawn’s lawyer, Dave Palmiere, claims his client purchased weapons legally, but they were mysteriously stolen.
One gun was actually a .223 Bushmaster, the exact model Adam Lanza used to kill 26 people in Newtown, Connecticut at the beginning of this month.
We have yet to make sense of this string of tragedies.
Now every Christmas we will forever be reminded of maniacal William and the fire that killed two American heroes.
