Congrats to Akron Zoo in Ohio!
They’ve got a brand new baby Pygmy Slow Loris and he’s just about the cutest thing EVER!
The baby male was born August 21st and only weighed under an ounce!!
The babe has been thriving and now weighs 0.4-pounds!
That’s amazing, he’s grown so much!
Btw├óΓé¼┬ª if you can’t tell├óΓé¼┬ª that’s a gloved hand holding the lil babe! So he hasn’t grown that much.
Akron Zoo’s President and CEO said:
“The birth of this rare primate is critical to the future of this species. Trying to save threatened species like the pygmy slow loris and educate people about them is the vital role we, as an accredited zoo through the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, play. Births like this are extraordinary and I commend our animal care staff for their hard work.”
Yeah! Way to go, Akron Zoo!
This little baby is super important for his species’ survival!
Let’s hope he grows up big and strong and can start doing his part to save his species by knocking some furry boots!
