Can someone check on Nicki Minaj, please?
Our cause for concern comes after reports the Queen rapper threatened Everyday Struggle host DJ Akademiks in a heated exchange on social media Tuesday. The YouTube personality alleges Nicki sent physical threats in his DMs and accused him of wanting a sexual relationship with jailed rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine.
Wait, really? A Grammy-nominated artist feuding with a blogger?? But, why?

To play catch up for those who don’t know, this isn’t the first time these two have verbally sparred. Akademiks has openly criticized the entertainer’s music and longevity in the rap game, frequently comparing her to the ever-popular Cardi B.
While appearing on the Complex digital talk show, the 28-year-old explained the argument seemed to come out of thin air, this time, after the Pinkprint artist slid into his DMs and asked if he would be in New York. After he confirmed, the disc-jockey said the new Mrs. Petty launched her tirade on him. She said:
“You been mad since I made a joke about u with Joe [Budden] on my show. The people u rep won’t be able to stop ya jaw from getting broke.”
In a follow-up message, she added:
“I know too much about ur family for u to be playing with me u hoe ass rat. Where u at now”
After the two went back and forth about Ak’s location, the Megatron songstress brought up the blogger’s relationship with Tekashi, who’s currently incarcerated on racketeering and gun charges. She said:
“Exactly. Hoe. Still sad Tekashi ain’t here no more so u can try to get sneak feels on his booty. Don’t talk on a woman then run from a man. I’m glad it’s received rat. It won’t be the only thing you will recieve.”
Well, damn!
We’re not sure exactly what the guy must have said to set her off this time, but it’s clear Miz Minaj isn’t about to let their beef go so easily. This is honestly the kind of thing you just have to see for yourself. Ch-ch-check out screenshots of their conversation (below):
The internet star also took to Twitter and pleaded with his followers, saying:
“Nicki Minaj just put a hit on me… if anything happens… or I miss a meal… SHE DID IT.”
CRAZY!
We just can’t understand why Nicki would take this route here. Wasn’t she just talking about retirement, finding your inner peace, and focusing on building her family, like, two days ago? How did we go from that to this bizarre spat over her career?
Although she later walked back her comments about leaving the rap game, she might want to reconsider after this embarrassing lack of restraint shown here. Just do your thing, girl!
