Has Nicki Minaj finally socially distanced herself from her problematic husband Kenneth Petty? Fans seem to think so, but what does their evidence really mean?

Wow, that seems pretty huge. As much as she has been defending her man, it would be a real 180.

However, the change may have just been about the promotion. See, she replaced everything with promo for her latest single, Yikes!
As you can see (below), the change was made on Nicki’s Twitter and Instagram accounts:

The brow-raising move comes weeks after Petty was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in Los Angeles. As we reported, the 42-year-old was pulled over in Beverly Hills in November 2019 for a traffic infraction when cops discovered he was registered as a sex offender in New York, but had yet to register in the Golden State.
He still failed to register after that incident, prompting the U.S. Marshals to put out an arrest warrant for him in early March. He turned himself in on March 4 and pleaded not guilty to a federal judge for failing to register before being released on $100,000 bond.

Petty was required to wear an ankle monitor and was ordered to have a curfew, in addition to being under pretrial supervision, which left him without a passport, restricted to traveling only in Southern California, and unable to use drugs — even marijuana from legal dispensaries in El Lay. His next hearing on March 23 was postponed due to the coronavirus lockdown, which has closed the courts in the city.
But could this really have put Nicki over the edge? Did she finally read the rest of the story??
Innerestingly, Nicki hasn’t posted anything Kenneth-related since his arrest. On February 27, the Barbie Dreams hitmaker posted a pic of her and Petty, whom she has known since their younger years growing up in Queens, on a trip they took to Trinidad. Oh yeah, and she disabled the comments. Naturally.
A day before, the Grammy nominee shared a video to her ‘Gram holding Petty’s hand while walking into a DJ booth, writing in the caption:
“And I love you. Anyone with an issue can kindly suck a d**k w|2 b*lls on the side.”
Miss Minaj has yet to address the split speculation, but many fans are already celebrating, seeing as Petty’s first-degree rape conviction from 1995 never really sat well with a great deal of them.
As one fan put it:
“Pray everything works out for beautiful queen of rap NICKIMINAJ and her husband. Thank God! He was ruining her brand, she had to drop him or forget about continuing her career. Run and don’t look back @NICKIMINAJ.”
