Just yesterday we caught wind that Nigella Lawson was DENIED access to the USA when she was turned away at Heathrow Airport due to her previous drug use!
Well it turns out the US embassy in London has opened their doors to the celebrity chef and has invited her to come in and apply for a visa! There’s just one teeny tiny little catch….
There’s a good chance they’ll probably more than likely insist that she takes a drug test!
As if being booted from the airport wasn’t embarassing enough, the embassy could possibly ask Nigella to provide a urine sample to prove she’s clean, and to add on some extra humiliation they would have someone WATCHING her do it!
Technically the U.S. has the right to deny access to any foreigner who has admitted to using drugs, regardless of whether or not they were ever charged. However, it seems odd to us that they’re being particularly stingy with Nigella considering there have been a handful of UK rockers and actors (who shall remain nameless) who have been VERY open about their drug use, yet they’ve been allowed to come and go as they please!
So why are they making Nigella jump through so many hoops to return to the states? Your guess is as good as ours!!
