After the official announcement was made this morning on the Entertainment Tonight website that Mary Hart was jumping ship, we were wondering how long it would take the show to announce her replacement.
Last week, rumors were circulating that Mary was getting the axe so that newer, younger, perkier Lara Spencer from The Insider could take her place.
Although the show didn’t allegedly give her said axe, sources are still suggesting that Mary is being replaced by Lara! In fact, insiders are reporting that the deal for the switch has been in place for years and that a signed deal was completed months ago.
However, the show has still made no official announcement on who will be Mary’s successor.
Guess they’re trying to let Mary enjoy the spotlight for a bit!
Whatevs! We see what’s going down! Congrats, Lara!
