Well, he does have the experience of being in a boy band!
But we’re not sure if these guys are necessarily looking for another member at this point!
Former O-Town member Ashley Parker Angel is a BIG fan of One Direction and so since Zayn Malik is now out of the picture, we guess Ashley must’ve thought that was a great opportunity to “audition” for the band.
The former pop star made a fifteen second audition video this past Monday and posted it online of him singing their hit song Night Changes.
And it was pretty darn good!

Here’s what he wrote on Twitter:

Although we guess he must’ve got raked over the coals by fans of One Direction because he later tweeted:
As a #Directioner myself, I don’t think anyone could replace Zayn… just having some fun guys! #BewareTheWrathofABoyBandFan @onedirection

So we guess it was all in good fun!
But it seems like some Directioners didn’t appreciate the audition no matter how fake Ashley said it was.
