Old Navy Continues To Stir Controversy After Up-Charging For Plus-Sized Women's Clothing! But They Claim To Have A Reason For It!

Old Navy under fire for up-pricing for women's plus-sized clothing!
Major fail, Old Navy!!
The Gap-owned brand has found itself in some hot water again after up-charging for their women’s plus-size jeans.
And with a range between a $12 to $15 price increase, customers are calling out this very obvious discrepancy! Especially considering all men’s jeans remain the same price regardless the size.

A Change.Org petition has even been launched to change Old Navy’s pricing policies, garnering over 35,000 signatures already! Renee Posey, the creator of the petition, shared:

“If they are charging plus-sized women more to cover the cost of the fabric being used, then why aren’t they doing the same for men?”

To which Liz Nunan, a spokesperson for Gap, Inc. is defending their policy, stating:

“Old Navy is proud to offer styles and apparel designed specifically for our plus-size female customer, which includes curve-enhancing and curve-flattering elements such as four-way stretch materials and contoured waistbands, which most men’s garments do not include. This higher price point reflects this selection of unique fabrics and design elements.”

Huh. Aren’t the regular, petite, and tall styles for women also designed specifically for them, as well? Not sure this argument is going to last!
What do U think???
