We all knew this was coming, we just didn’t know when!
Liam Payne essentially put the final figurative nail in One Direction‘s coffin earlier today when he announced he signed a solo record deal! And just like that, Directioners’ worst fears came true!

While it’s not 100% official that 1D is breaking up, most people on Twitter are already reacting to the news and it didn’t take long for #OneDirectionIsOverParty to start trending!
However, we’re not quite sure if “party” is the right word for it because most people seemed pretty bummed out:
