As one of the hosts of the 2010 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, you’d expect Oprah Winfrey to arrive looking exceptionally gorgeous.
And momma O didn’t disappoint!
Miz Winfrey wore a blue Oscar de la Renta gown which accentuated her curves in all the right places.
The navy silk-organza gown was adorned with navy and black caviar beading and a ruffle embroidered skirt. Said the designer of his creation:
“It is very romantic. Lots of ruffles, lots of cleavage—a real dress for a real woman.
She is the embodiment of the all-American woman, but she is not at all nostalgic. She is a woman of the twenty-first century.”
The gown took four people over 250 hours to complete! And it looks like all the work was well worth it.
We loves it!
