Taking to Instagram to remember the time he and his “fellowship” members — Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd — got tattoos of the Elvish number nine in honor of the film, the 39-year-old posted:

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Monaghan recalled the “family” affair:
“It was one of those beautiful moments, where we all felt like we had been through this war, this battle, together in a lot of different ways. That really brought together that family feeling.”
