7-year-old Owen Howkins suffers from Schwartz-Jampel Syndrome, a condition which leaves his muscles permanently tense. Which would explain Owen’s extreme social anxiety.
However, that all changed when the dog Haatchi came into his life. The pup had only three legs, and nobody wanted the pooch. Nobody until Owen saw him, and from then on it was unconditional love between the two!
Here’s what Owen’s stepmother said:

“There was an immediate bond. It├óΓé¼Γäós like they both knew that each other were different, and there was an instant acceptance of those differences and they were going to work together as a team.├óΓé¼┬¥

Nowadays Owen can talk to strangers without any of the problems he exhibited before.
