We previously mentioned a woman in California was out for a jog when she was suddenly attacked and mauled to death by four pit bulls!!
Now, the owner of those dogs has been charged with MURDER!
Alex Jackson, 29, was charged when DNA from his dogs’ faces matched the DNA of the deceased woman, Pamela Devitt, 63.
She died after being bitten 150 to 200 times. That’s just awful!
Jackson is currently being held on $1,000,000 bail and is charged with murder, owner negligence of an animal causing death and growing marijuana.
The husband of the deceased jogger said:
“I do not blame the dogs. I don’t blame pit bulls. I blame people who don’t take responsibility for their animals. If a dog has seriously hurt or killed someone, you have to look to the owner and the owner should be held accountable on some level. There’s no reason we have to tolerate that kind of behavior.”
We wonder if the murder charge is going to actually stick or if it’s going to be dropped down to involuntary manslaughter.
Either way, nothing will bring this woman back. Hopefully, dog owners everywhere will hear about this and realize that their dog is their responsibility!!
We hope something like this never happens again.
