Sharon Osbourne Says Ozzy Can No Longer Walk Amid Battle With Parkinson's Disease

Ozzy Osbourne‘s health is being radically affected by Parkinson’s Disease to the point that he is now no longer able to walk.

This week, the Sun spoke to the rock star’s longtime wife Sharon Osbourne about her 76-year-old husband’s health. According to the daytime TV talk show veteran, the Black Sabbath rocker has been impacted so gravely in his years-long Parkinson’s battle that he cannot walk anymore.

The 72-year-old woman revealed the sad fact to the outlet and explained how the progressive nature of Parkinson’s Disease seems to keep robbing her beloved spouse of so many things as he ages:

“Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs.”

So sad.

But even though he can’t walk, he can still rock. Sharon confirmed what had been announced a while ago — that Ozzy will indeed be joining Black Sabbath on stage for the first time in over 20 years to perform in his last-ever concert this coming July. She said this to the news outlet:

“But his voice is as good as it’s ever been. … He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this.”

Well, that part is good, then!

FWIW, Ozzy himself also recently confirmed that he is now unable to walk during an episode of his SiriusXM radio show. Per People, he said this about his declining health:

“I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive. I may be moaning that I can’t walk but I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”

Ozzy first revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis five years ago. Since then, he’s had multiple neck and spinal surgeries, with the most recent one occurring in September of 2023.

And at one point last year, Sharon told RadioX that her husband works with a physiotherapist every single day to make sure his muscles stay as limber as possible.

We continue to send him all the love in the world amid this difficult situation. Clearly, he’s going through a lot with this — as are Sharon, and Jack, and Kelly, and all the rest of their loved ones.
