As you’re surely aware, Paris went through a series of terrorist attacks almost two weeks ago that left 130 people throughout the city dead.
89 of those victims were attending a concert at the Bataclan on Nov. 13 to see the band Eagles of Death Metal perform, and while the members have spoken out about the massacre and the loss of their merchandise manager Nick Alexander, their first full sit-down interview was released on Wednesday.

VICE spoke with co-founder/vocalist Jesse Hughes, bassist Matt McJunkins, guitarist Eden Galindo, drummer Julian Dorio, and sound engineer Shawn London about their terrifying experience, as well as co-founder Joshua Homme who was not at the venue the night of the shootings.
It’s an incredibly moving 26-minute piece, and while many would probably see the killings as reason to never play again, EODM stated that they’re actually doing the opposite — using the ordeal to provoke positive change in the world.
