Cara Delevingne Hits Back HARD After Fans Speculate She's On Drugs During Met Gala Interview!

Cara Delevingne isn’t going to sit around and ignore fan speculation on social media! Not when it comes to something as serious as this, at least.

The model was at the Met Gala on Monday night, which was totally expected — she is, of course, a mainstay at the event. But this time around, things threatened to go a bit sideways during a red carpet interview she had with E! News personality Ross Mathews!

Cara popped over to the longtime television host and personality to chat about her diamond-encrusted Stella McCartney chain mail body armor dress. But nearly as soon as she and Mathews began to talk, Stella herself ran over to interrupt the interview — and the designer was joined by Ed Sheeran!

The end result was a ton of cross talk before Stella and Ed managed to pull Cara away from Ross’ microphone. As you can see (below), the exchange was pretty brief and pretty hectic before they shepherded Cara into the event:

Wow!

Instagram users didn’t care for the runaround, and they weren’t shy about sharing their thoughts!! As you can see (below), many fans took to the comments with their suspicions that Cara was on drugs, and that’s why Ed and Stella had to intervene and rush her away from the cameras and microphones:

“She’s not sober. the way she even stroked the interviewers wrist… She’s nowhere near sober.”

“This girl just seems high”

“Dressed as a condom and high AF.”

“It’s giving cocaine chainmail”

“They’re saving her from ruining the interview because she’s so coked up they had to intervene”

Damn!! And specifically, it’s that very last comment that caught the 31-year-old model’s attention. Down in the IG comments, Cara personally replied to that last “coked up” allegation with this inspiring message of denial:

“Been clear for nearly two years!! Thanks for the support.”

These accusations are understandably quite a sore spot for Cara because, as you may recall, she actually VERY candidly discussed her past drug abuse last year. Speaking with Vogue in the spring of 2023, she opened up about fighting a battle with addiction over the previous year, up through early 2022, after paparazzi photos spotted her in an extremely disheveled moment. Cara copped to past usage, as well as the after effects that were captured in those unsettling photos, by telling this to the fashion mag at the time:

“I was like, ‘wow, OK, this is bad.’ At that point, there were a lot of people who were really worried, understandably so. I wasn’t really worried though. That is the nature of the disease, that is what addiction is. I was not OK. It’s heartbreaking because I thought I was having fun, but at some point it was like, ‘OK, I don’t look well.’ You know, sometimes you need a reality check, so in a way those pictures were something to be grateful for.”

So, now she clearly wants to set the record straight and correct prying fans. And she definitely wasn’t shy about it! Good for her, too. Two years is an incredible achievement! Reactions, y’all?? Share ’em (below)…
