Is Travis Kelce‘s bromance with Patrick Mahomes over? Not if you ask the QB!
The Kansas City Chiefs teammates’ famous chemistry hasn’t seen much play this season, leading many to wonder if there were problems off the field that were leading to in-game issues. Like, say, problems between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes.

On last week’s New Heights podcast, Trav even said the words:
“For whatever reason this year I just can’t find my way in the end zone. I’m just not on the same page as Pat.”
Trav certainly seemed to be eating the blame there. So what does Pat have to say? Nothing but good things about his go-to guy. He told reporters in a post-game presser:
“He means the world to me, man. I mean, without getting emotional, I mean, he’s a guy who has really kind of made me who I am in my career and a true leader on the football field. Someone — everybody says security blanket — but someone that I can go to at any moment and he’s going to make a big play happen. As he’s done throughout his career, he’s never dropped off as far as his work ethic and the way he leads, and I think that’s super important. And you have a guy that’s gonna have a gold jacket, and he’s the hardest working dude on the team.”
Wow. He isn’t just talking about what a great player he his, he’s talking about what a good MAN he is! And for Mahomes to say Trav helped MAKE him? He even elaborated when asked what he meant by that huge compliment, saying:
“In terms of a play, obviously, I mean he’s someone that… he plays on the same wavelength I do, and it’s hard to do that… From the first day I’ve kind of been on that same page with Trav. And then seeing him work every day. Everyone sees the personality, and on the TV, stuff like that, but you don’t see that everyday work ethic that he has. I mean, he’s the guy that gets mad when they take him out of practice reps. I mean, that’s the type of work ethic he has. Even for me, to come into the league and have a superstar player and see him work like that — it kind of showed me that I’ll have to put that work in if I want to get to that level.”
Wow. Trav had already been around a few years and made a name for himself when Pat joined the team. And it’s clear the QB has never forgotten what an impression the tight end made on him. This is just such a beautiful sentiment, there’s no WAY he could say this if the pair were beefing. Right??
