Patrick Stewart, actor extraordinaire, was honored by being allowed to carry the Olympic torch through Croydon, South London.
Since he’s used to being in a wheelchair as Prof. X he found running hard and apparently tripped several times and lit a few spectators on fire. JK LOLz!
He carried the torch like champ and loved every minute of it, saying:
“I have attended world premieres of big movies that have not had the excitement and the sense of pleasure and pride that people are exhibiting today.”
He carried it on the 66th day of the torch’s cross country journey.
This Friday, the torch will finally make its way into the Olympic Stadium for the opening ceremony!
We’re so excited!!!
USA! USA! USA!
