Pattycake, Best Gorilla Ever, Dies At The Age Of 40

A bittersweet day for fans of this amazing animal!
Pattycake, america’s favorite gorilla, passed away yesterday at the Bronx Zoo. Her death happened she was experiencing cardiac problems.
She was forty years old.
Here’s what the Bzoo’s director said:

“Pattycake was perhaps the best-known gorilla at the Bronx Zoo. Pattycake was a very special animal and her presence will be deeply missed.”

Pattycake was the first gorilla to be born in New York City, and lived almost entire life at the Bronx Zoo.
Originally she was born in 1972 at Central Park Zoo.
The lady gorilla has ten healthy children who live all around the country in various zoos.
Her memory will not be forgotten!!!
