'RIP Taylor Swift' Mural Gets A Creepy Face Lift To Become An Actual Memorial For Harambe The Gorilla -- And SpongeBob SquarePants?

Much better!
Earlier this week, Aussie street artist Lushsux shared an image of his faux “RIP Taylor Swift” mural that was made to memorialize the pop star’s figurative death in the wake of her Famous feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Shortly after it blew up on social media, TayTay’s team contacted the artist with threats of legal action if the mural wasn’t swiftly removed.
While it looks like the request was already complied, we’re not sure the songstress will be satisfied — because “Taylor Smith” has turned into the bizarre hybrid creature “Taylor Gorilla SquarePants.”

On Thursday, the artist shared an image of the updated mural on Instagram featuring a cartoon gorilla face seen in SpongeBob SquarePants painted over Tay’s face — with the caption changed to: “In loving memory of Harambe, 1988-2016.”
Harambe the gorilla became a popular cultural reference earlier this year after being killed at the Cincinnati Zoo on May 28 when a young child fell into its enclosure.
This time, however, Lushsux isn’t taking credit for the work.
In the caption of his post, the artist asked “WHO DID THIS?!?!” — but of course, that could just be his way of avoiding more legal threats from Team Swifty:

It looks like enough of the singer’s likeness has been removed from the mural where her team can’t say anything about it, not to mention the fact that it’s an actual memorial now.
Let’s just hope Spongebob doesn’t have the same lawyers as Taylor.
