Sir Paul McCartney was over in Japan, doing his thaaannnggg, when he was struck down by a virus!
The 71-year-old legend has been hospitalized in Tokyo, because his condition worsened throughout the week, and now he’s canceled his entire tour in the country since he’s been ordered to have complete rest!
His rep commented on the sitch, saying:
“Since contracting a virus last week that led to the postponement of tour dates, Paul received successful medical treatment at a hospital in Tokyo. He will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days rest. Paul has been extremely moved by all the messages and well wishes he has received from fans all over the world.”
And Paul made a statement on his behalf as well, telling his fans via his website:
“I’d like to thank my Japanese fans for their love, messages of support and understanding. I hope to see you all again soon. Love, Paul.”
