This Southern girl cooked herself up one hot mess!!
After admitting to using the N-word several times and being subsequently fired from her TV gigs, Paula Deen realizes she has some explaining to do!
Unless she cancels on Matt Lauer again, the celebrity chef plans to speak her mind on Wednesday’s Today.
Before that, though, Paula intends to speak with weatherman and co-anchor Al Roker. As he’s the cast’s highest profile African American, Paula feels she owes Al a special apology!
More than that, she feels crummy crumb-y about possibly offending him, especially considering the bond they share over their weight struggles!!
An insider close to the situation revealed:
“Paula has told producers and Matt Lauer, that she would like to personally apologize to Al Roker before going on the air. This is something that Paula wants to do, and is very important to her. She values Al and has tremendous respect for him. They both have a lot in common, their battle of the bulge, a love of food and family. Paula has been extremely emotional since making headlines last week, and she is ready to take responsibility for her actions. She has been physically sickened but has no intentions of backing out of the interview, and is ready to answer the tough questions.”
We’re happy Paula is handling the heat instead of getting out of the kitchen, but Al doesn’t seem to give two sharts about their personal bond!
He thinks her betrayal was to the American public!
The insider continued:
[Al doesn’t] think it├óΓé¼Γäós necessary for Paula to apologize to him├óΓé¼┬ª.This isn├óΓé¼Γäót about Al. She doesn├óΓé¼Γäót owe him anything, but he is a gentleman, and a very forgiving person, and will listen to what Paula has to say. Al thinks it├óΓé¼Γäós more important that Paula explain her actions to the American public.├óΓé¼┬¥
It’s clear Paula doesn’t intend to take our advice and lay low, but, who knows, maybe America takes pity on her after all?!
