Can putting people on a blacklist really work?
Turns out if you don’t pay your taxes, the US government will out ya!
On Thursday, a report issued by the Franchise Tax Board listed the 250 worst tax debtors in California. And it seems there’s a lot of people here that owe large amounts of money.
Two semi-well known names in the top 10 of the list include comedian Sinbad Adkins and singer Dionne Warwick, who haven’t paid their taxes in forever ever.
In fact, together they owe almost $5 million that would go towards the Cali’s huge budget deficit!
Sinbad currently owes $2.5 million while Warwick owes $2.2 million!
In order to remove their names from the public lists, those in debt need to pay up in full or even via an installment plan.
Warwick’s rep claims the singer has been cooperating with the committee in order to pay her taxes. As for Sinbad, his rep declined to comment.
How in hell does an out of work comedian owe millions in taxes?
