The Saturday Night Live funny-man is no stranger to new ink — he got two new tattoos for Ariana Grande, like, four seconds after meeting her LOLz — but finally he opted to cover up a separate tattoo that REALLY needed to go after his engagement to the No More Tears Left To Cry singer became official!

It all started with some keen eyes taking a look at this video Davidson posted to his Instagram account almost a week ago (below):

But check out those forearms — his right forearm has a TON of ink on it and it has to be new, considering previously he’d been only known to have one single tattoo there: a pic of former girlfriend Cazzie David‘s face around a few stars.

Now it just appears a solid black block that is definitely obscuring her face! Awkward… But probably smart though considering, ya know, it’s Ariana time now!!!
