Most of us are rooting for Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande to defy the odds and stay together — but a lot of folks are wary too!
One person who didn’t have quite as much faith in the power of love? Pete’s tattoo artist!
Jon Mesa, who co-owns the famous No Idols tattoo shop in NYC, told Page Six he was one of the doubters telling Pete to be prudent.

And it’s kinda fair given his advice was following the huge coverup he’d just done of the Saturday Night Live star’s ink dedicated to previous girlfriend Cazzie David! LOLz!
He spilled:
“After we were done, I told Pete, ‘Hey, dude, let’s just stop with the girlfriend tats until after [Grande’s] your wife.’ Because relationships come and go, and Pete is a really young man. I think that went in one ear and out the other.”
Actually, it went right behind the ear:

Pete did NOT take the advice and cool it. He later had Mesa do the word “Reborn” on his hand, as well as Ari’s fave catchphrase “H2GKMO” (honest to God knock me out) to match his fiancée.
While he may be the more cautious type, the inker admits he is convinced of how the couple feel about one another:
“They are just riding that magical wave of bliss together. It’s obvious that Pete is super in love with Ariana.”
Though as every tattoo artist knows, most love is not as permanent as ink. LOLz!
