Pete Davidson Reacts To Comedian Kevin Barnett’s Death During 'Sad' Stand-Up Performance

Tragedy continues to be the hallmark of Pete Davidson’s stand-up performances.
The Saturday Night Live star was off his game during a show in New York City on Tuesday following the death of his friend, fellow comedian Kevin BarnettShortly after taking the stage at Caroline’s on Broadway, the 25-year-old told the crowd he was “in a weird mood” after learning that the 32-year-old had died while vacationing in Mexico.
An eyewitness told Us Weekly that Ariana Grande’s ex looked tired as he performed in a hoodie and red sweatpants, and that Pete’s usual routine of penis size and mental health jokes were lacking his signature BDE.

The Staten Island native admitted he was feeling off because he was “a bit sad” over Barnett’s death, saying at one point:

“My head hurts. How long have I been up here? Sorry, my brain is mush.”

Awww. Poor guy.
The comedian tried to distract himself by discussing his post-breakup life, admitting that moving back home with his mom is “fun, but it’s also depressing.”
But the devastating news sadly weighed down the entirety of Pete’s set. After asking a second time “how much longer” he had on stage, the Set It Up actor told fans they could “just leave” if they were tired.
As we reported, the cause of Barnett’s death is still unknown. Our hearts go out to Pete and everyone reeling over this tragic loss.
