Pete Davidson is apparently being loved on and cared for by close friends and loved ones after posting disturbing (now-deleted) messages to social media yesterday suggesting the possibility of self-harm.
And the Saturday Night Live actor clearly was taking it easy last night for the show itself, too, opting to appear only briefly in one skit (a skit goofing on potential new host auditions for the troubled Oscars, which you can see above), and only coming on stage one other time to introduce Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson as musical guests.

But regardless of the SNL skits, it’s apparently a step forward for Pete, who was very clearly in a dark place yesterday; even Ariana Grande came out to try to support him in NYC after that disturbing social media post.
Here’s hoping things begin to get better for Davidson from here! It’ll likely be a long journey, but he clearly has a group of friends and celeb colleagues who care deeply about him, and they made that clear yesterday.
