Pete Davidson Stars In New SNL Promo After Accusing The Show Of Using Him As A Punchline!

Has harmony been restored between Pete Davidson and Saturday Night Live?

As we reported, the 26-year-old comedian kind of definitely trashed the long-running NBC show in a new interview, revealing the environment is “cut-throat” and that he wasn’t sure if SNL was using him as a punchline.

Well, the writers may have given their answer in the new promo for this week’s John Mulaney-hosted episode, which portrays the Staten Island Native as a changed man who meditates, no longer smokes weed, actually gets work done, and is only pretending to be “stupid” to please the audience.

The clip ends with Pete walking out of his dressing room and Mulaney saying to himself, proudly:

“He’s gonna be alright.”

Let’s hope so — because it kind of definitely sounds like being the constant punchline is taking a toll on the poor kid! Seeing as how Pete has likely brought in ratings from people who didn’t typically watch the show, maybe enough is enough.

Ch-ch-check out the promo clip (above) and catch the new episode on February 29.
