Could Michael Phelps get any better?

Sure, he’s all over the place these days, but who doesn’t want to look at him?

It’s nice to see that with the millions of dollars he’s making now, he’s going to use some of it to give back to charity!

Phelps is planning on starting his own foundation with his $1 million bonus, which he received from Speedo for tying the record of seven gold medals set by Mark Spitz in the ’70s – a record he eventually broke when he won his 8th gold medal in Beijing.

Phelps has just announced that his is creating the Michael Phelps Foundation. And his non-profit company will distribute the prize money to various charities to “promote water safety and encourage youth swimming.”

Phelps says, “This is a way for me to really help to grow the sport.”

The foundation will go on an eight-city tour across the US to launch an educational program titled Dream, Plan, Reach.

The program “will provide children with an easy-to-understand game plan for life beyond the pool, empowering them to live healthy and active lives while focusing on goal-setting, personal responsibility and discipline in day-to-day living.”

Phelps added, “This sport has done so much for me, and for me to be able to welcome other kids and share the experiences that I├óΓé¼╦£ve had for the past 15 years of my life. It├óΓé¼Γäós something that I think is important and something that will be fun.”

Aww. Abs of steel and a heart of gold.

Oh, and in case you haven’t gotten enough of watching Phelps, he’ll also be hosting the 34th season premiere of Saturday Night Live later this month.
